We took a trip to Rolla, Missouri over the 4th of July holiday. We went to sort some things out for our future. I believe we had success and we had fun as well. We took the trip in two stages, staying the night part way the first day. Her is Jon fueling up the car on day 2.

And the kids. Glad to have had a good nights rest and be back on the road.

Once we arrived in Rolla, we took a self guided tour of the city. They have it all mapped out and have placks of information at the historic locations. We were able to get in a good walk and tour of downtown before it got to hot. It was enjoyable. This is at the start of our walk.

And at the end of our walk.

We went to another city near by for a 4th of July parade. It is a very small town but that was one of the biggest and best parades I have ever been to. Here we are waiting for the parade to start.

Joshua was being silly and trying to get his hand in front of the camera. As you can see he was successful.

We had a wonderful time and accomplished what we went to accomplish. The kids were able to watch fireworks out the hotel window the night of the 4th. They seemed to really enjoy that! I can't wait until they get a little bigger and can really get involved and can stay up late enough to see the big displays.

So are you considering a move to MO? Looks like you had a blast and the kids are SO cute! :)
Yes, we are! Rolla is a small town, a little bigger than Durant, and it seems like a good fit for us at this point in our lives. Plus Rolla gets more snow than Durant, and you know how I feel about snow!!!
